We Went...We Ate...We Left...

Riley and Grandma at the much talked about Daimasu

In just over an hour we were seated, ordered, opened presents, ate, and were on our way home. Who needs to sit around chatting with family when the presents have been opened, noodles have been slurped down and orange pop with no ice has been guzzled?!?  =D

Riley was in his glory! Along with the DVD's on his list grandma got him a portable DVD player and headphones. Uncle Stoo, Auntie Sharon, Sara & Scotty threw in a few extras too. You would have thought he hit the mother lode by his reaction. Then again who wouldn't get excited about being surprised with not just 1 but 4 cans of
C-Plus orange pop, 1 box of Cheerios, 2 pads of paper and 1 combo box of colour and black & white printer ink cartridges.  I KNOW!  Tee hee.

Riley's enthusiasm is SO contagious! Trust me...he wasn't the only one leaving with a smile.

    Happy Birthday to Riley! He is one happy kid, I love to see that. Everyone deserves to be spoiled on their birthday, wonderful he really appreciates it. Were the pads of paper shiney????
    What's up next for him now? Hopefully there is some occasion to get excited about before Christmas...becasue its a very long time from now!

      Unfortunately the pads of paper weren't the shiney ones. Haaahaaa! The pad of paper you dropped off was used up within 30 minutes. :) BTW...thanks for dropping it off B!

      We should all be so happy and appreciative of small things. Summer vacation will be next I'm pretty sure. ;P

      Thanks Rhonda! R was in his glory and soooo excited! Not many 18 year olds I know that would so excited about his list of gifts. LOL!

    My daughters are also autistic, and one of my favorite things about them (as if I could just list a few) is the unbridled joy and enthusiasm they have when they are happy. It fills my heart and the hearts of all that see them this way, so I can only imagine it must be the same with your Riley. :)

      We do seem to have a LOT in common other than you have twins (I don't) and yours are girls (mine's a boy)...see lots! Haahaa. I can't wait to read more about your adventures with Princess and Birdie. They sound eeerily close to our adventures with Riley. Eeep!
