When I first read this
week’s Listicles topic I was jumping for joy!
This would be a snap. After all…I have not made New Year’s resolutions since
forever. The pressure to try and keep them had always been too much for me. Even
still when it came time to write my list…it was a lot harder than I thought.
Could it be that I have reached perfection already??
1.
My warped sense of humour. You read the last sentence in my first
paragraph right???
2.
My Mini Cooper…it’s a keeper. I wrote all about it in a previous
Listicles.
3.
My hair colour. Having survived years and years of perms (home and
salon), curling irons, blow dryers and colouring my hair; having lost my hair
for a brief period of time I have gone au naturale ever since. Ummm…not bald naturale. Salt ‘n Pepper naturale. Besides,
who can argue with these 10 Reasons to go Gray?
4.
My “adult beverage” consumption. I now have a full-fledged adult-son (20) and soon to be legal-aged adult-son (18-1/2). Need I say more. Just hoping this
one won’t increase exponentially.
5.
My exercise program. I did not have one last year. Enough said.
6.
My weight loss program. See
number 5.
7.
My procrastination techniques. Pretty much have this one under control. No
need for any drastic changes here or at least not this year.
8.
My vacuum cleaner. It is in mint condition. Best to keep it that way for
resale value.
9.
My gal-pal getaways. Trust me…this is a good thing for my entire family.
10.
And of course one of my favourite things about 2012 was discovering Stasha's Monday Listicles.
Do you make New Year
Resolutions? How long did your most
successful resolution last OR how short was your most unsuccessful resolution?
This was great. I love that you have a Mini-Cooper. How fun. And I go halfway gray. I don't do overall color but have a healthy dose of highlights put in my graying tresses. Gray hair and highlights -- a most natural look.
ReplyDeleteThe wonderful thing about lighter hair, I think the gray can pass for highlights so it's a win-win...less "unnatural" highlights required. ;P
DeleteI do love my Mini! :D
This was only my 2nd time linking up but its very fun so far and you made me laugh. #5 & #6 ~nuff said!
ReplyDeleteRight??? Who needs the pressure. Glad you're enjoying Listicles...I think it's a lot of fun too! :D
DeleteI won't be changing my non-existent exercise program either!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a weekend away with a group of friends. So fun.
I thoroughly enjoy your warped humor. :)
Awwwww thanks! Happy to know I have company. Ummm...that was meant as a compliment...to you being funny...and you thinking I'm funny...and... *sigh* never mind. ;P
Deleteyou are hilarious as always!!! I am with you on #1, #4, #7 & #10!!
ReplyDeleteWHEN DID YOU START VACUUMING!!! Baaahaaahaaa. Cheers Robbie! :D
DeleteI love, love that you have a Mini....so cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd no no....don't change your awesome sense of humour. unless you get even more warped! ha
And I feel kinda bad that I am waiting for mine to get a bit older so that I can have a glass of wine in the evening again.
Yes...yes I am cool! :D
DeleteUmmm...you mean there's an age that your kids have to be before you start drinking in the evening??? Oh. Oh dear.
Mini Coopers are ridiculously cool. But #8 made me laugh out loud. Ha! Erin
ReplyDeleteMy Mini is MY late-life crisis. :D
DeleteI was beginning to wonder if anybody was going to find #8 funny...I thought it was hilarious. True but hilarious. Haahaa! Thanks Erin!
I loved this listicles topic too. My procrastination techniques aren't going anywhere and neither are my getaways with my girlfriends!
ReplyDeleteBest way to rejuvenate my old bones since I can't get them into the yoga poses that YOU can. ;P
DeleteYou had me laughing! I love #8 - I will remember that one. Don't want that vacuum resale to go down too much - good excuse to put off the vacuuming. :)
ReplyDeleteMeh...the dust bunnies just come back anyways. :D
DeleteWarped sense of humor + adult beverages must be an awesome combo!
ReplyDeleteTee hee....thanks Stacie!
DeleteI think #1 is essential for getting through life! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! :D
DeleteYou sweetheart you!!! Vacuum cleaners should be preserved for next generations. It is the least we can do. I raise my glass to you!!
ReplyDelete*clinking glass* Only thinking of the next generations. Tee hee.
