The things I first notice
about someone have definitely changed over the years. When I was a teenager I will admit that physical looks (be it a male or female) were
at the top of the list.
1.
Hair
Oh how I would have died for my hair to have some body. With poker straight, wiry hair…I was never going to have hair like Farrah
Fawcett and the long shag that guys were sporting back then...*sigh*
2.
A Colgate Smile
3. Eyes
Once out in the working
world, reality set in and life was nothing like an episode of the Love Boat or
Fantasy Island. Physical looks moved
down the list and were replaced with things like:
A crisp and clean smell would make me weak at the
knees.
5. Sense of humour
6.
Personality: Yes mom…your
words did not fall on deaf ears after all.
Marriage, motherhood
and menopause were the next stages and with them came deep thoughts:
8.
Will their vehicle accommodate a baby seat?
9.
Do they need a nose and ear trimmer?
10.
And most important these days…do they still buy green bananas?
What things do you first notice about someone?
Thanks to Donetta over at My Constant Thoughts for coming up with this week's topic. Don't forget to pop over to Stasha's and see what everybody notices.
Oh you make me laugh. Start out somewhat serious, and then it just goes downhill from there. The nose and ear hair? Ugh! Green bananas? Why? (I do sometimes.)
ReplyDeleteI must send the sense of humor one to my brother. He and I are the funniest members of our family, and we have an ongoing debate about which one of us is the funniest.
Buying green bananas is a good thing...means you're still going to be around to see them get ripe. Tee hee.
DeleteCan't imagine your brother being funnier than you! :D
HAHAHAAA the nose ear trimmer picture made me snort lmao!!
ReplyDeleteAll hail the green bananas!
I was thinking of you when I put down green bananas! LOL!
DeleteGeorge Clooney!!! I win. I win. Wait...what do I win? Is it George Clooney? haha
ReplyDeleteas you can probably tell, sense of humour is high on my list.
Haahaa...sounds like you love George almost as much as I do! No wonder I like you. :D
DeleteYou are one funny lady. The nose and hair picture made me laugh AND grossed me out!
ReplyDeleteIf I look at the picture too long it grosses me out too! HA!
DeleteI have poker straight hair too! Now people ask me what kind of flat iron I use. I just laugh and tell them I don't. I guess it's a bonus now that straight is in.
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad that straight is in too! I absolutely HATED getting perms when I was younger. They had to be timed around "special" occasions. :)
Deletelove the pictures...personality - should have had that on my list
ReplyDeleteWho would've thought that mom would've been right?!?! ;P
DeleteThat was hilarious. Ours really were similar! And I'm so with you about the 'clean' smell! When my husband's fresh from the shower I just want to sit next to him for like an hour.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I would actually ummmm follow someone if they smelt good. :O Having a teenage boy go through the Axe stage has pretty much killed that.
DeleteI am so with you on the hair. I, too, have incredibly straight, fine hair, and I covet curly hair with body!
ReplyDeleteI am not amused when people complain about having to "straight-iron" their hair. :/
DeleteAnd witty banterer (yes that's a word) you are!! :D
