There was obviously something in the air this past
month as I noticed that I was in good company during my blogging ummm hiatus. And
that’s…o-kay.
So what better way to kick off my return with some
video footage? Yes we are still working on OperationIFO but heading into spring
brings...are you ready...the introduction of Operation IBW (aka I’ll Be Whining). The possibilities with
this one are endless I tell ya. ;)
Now I am sure you have heard the old saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”? Well my friend Lori had one of those branch
clippers on a stick that she bought on a whim and used only a couple of times. She
gave it to G when she was moving. During the last snow G was in heaven. The
branches on the trees around our yard were weighed down with snow so he was able
to clip away to his heart’s content without the use of a ladder.
It was a sunny day today so G decided to go out and
clean up the tree carnage. “I” decided
R should help him. Not sure who was least impressed…G or R?!? So at 10:45 I
shoved R out the door R headed
outside.
G started R off with a corn broom then switched him
over to a push broom. Did you know a corn broom does not push well?? Conversely
a push broom does not sweep well. Just an observation.
Betcha didn’t know that the operation of a push
broom required a demonstration. Welcome to Riley World! :D
Now even though I was still in my PJ’s, I decided audio
was required so you could enjoy the full experience. My pleasure. Two more
observations before this last clip:
- Did you know the words raking
and sweeping are
interchangeable???
- When sweeping does not work…kicking will do.
Riley
Bet you can't wait for the next installment of Operation IBW right??? ;)
I'm sure G was thrilled to bits you sent R out with him. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done everyone!
ps. Glad you're back. :)
Haahaa! Got that right. ;) Thanks! You too! :D
DeleteI'm actually impressed with how hard he worked. Go Riley! Can't wait to see the next installment of Operation IBW. I've missed your updates (but can.not.talk!) ;P
ReplyDeleteActually....I was too! Couldn't believe he stayed out there for a whole hour!!
DeleteAnd no...you can.not.talk! ;P
he did a very good job.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at the "tired of raking" -- sounds just like my kids about 10 seconds into a chore. LOL
I think I'll have to buy G some noise-cancelling headphones before the next chore. Haahaa!
DeleteWhat a good helper! Nice to see you back, Diane. I've been in and out of the blogosphere too. Sometimes life just gets in the way, but I do miss it when I have to disappear!
ReplyDeleteConsidering it was his first time out...I thought he did great too! Funny how you can pick up the littlest things by watching back the video...like hand placement on the broom.
DeleteNice to see you back too Stacie! :)
Once Riley was shown, he did great. And a little kicking doesn't hurt. I do my sweeping that way too. :-)
ReplyDeleteHaahaa! Exactly...whatever works right???
DeleteAwesome doesn't even begin to describe Riley!!!! That was (insert bad word) FABULOUS!!! Holy smokes.. I would put 3 million dollars that Tommy wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes doing WORK!! A few times I let him drive the mower around but I ended up with what looked like Crop Circles and had to chase him down as he was headed straight for a tree! lol You can send R this way.. I have so much cleanup to do ;)
ReplyDeleteI would've put 3 million dollars that R wouldn't last 10 minutes too!!! I was (insert bad work) SHOCKED I tell ya!!! :D
DeleteCrop circles...baahaahaa! I remember.
