Random Q & A...
#Monday Listicles

Monday means it's time for Stasha's Monday Listicles! Stasha came up with 10 very random questions she asked us to answer. I tried to go with the first thing that popped into my head although I got stumped a few times. Be sure to check out the other lists over at The good life for some fun reading.

1.      Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 23, and find line 4. What is it?

“…from the urgency in his eyes and the blue veins popping in his neck.”

2.      How many times a day do you say Hi?

As often as I can.

3.      Have you ever worn a uniform?

I am so dating myself here...do you remember the TV show "Alice" (1976-1985)?
Well I didn't work in a diner but I did work in a department store cafeteria when I was in high school.
Only my uniform was white with a baby blue apron and thankfully no head gear.

4.      What do you think about the most?

As sad as this sounds...what to make for dinner.

5.      How many keys on your keyring?

Just 2.

6.      What was the last thing you bought?

Groceries...only my cart did not look nearly as healthy. *sigh*

7.      Are you growing anything these days?

One word..."Menopause"

8.      What is under your bed?
Christmas Wrapping Paper. Oh and Killer Dust Bunnies.

9.      What is most important in life?

Laughter...

10.  What is the strangest word you used this week?

I honestly can't think of anything?!?!?  I'm going to blame it on menopause...just you wait.  :(

Hope you had a Happy Canada Day & Happy 4th of July!!!

  1. Love that quote from Audrey Hepburn! I totally agree too. And your point about making dinner made me nod emphatically. Erin

    1. I think they should ban "What's for dinner?" from the English language! It is the bane of my existence (a little over the top?!?!?) ;P

    1. I find it's more the "what" to make more than anything because I actually do like cooking.

You make me laugh Terri! Thank YOU!

  5. I can't blame menopause yet, but I do appear to be growing some belly fat!
How is that book? I loved Still Alice and didn't realize her latest book had even come out.

    1. You'll know when you hit menopause cause you'll also grow back fat and muffin top! AUGH!!!

I'm about halfway through the book. I really enjoyed Still Alice too. I find this one a little more difficult to read as it's hard to imagine and I can feel the frustration. My book club read it (I didn't at the time) and all enjoyed it.

  6. You're blaming it on menopause, while I'm using the pregnancy brain excuse for all my brain farts recently! And I do agree, planning for dinner is a huge time consuming PITA for me too! UGH! Every.single.night. they want to eat!

  7. Sadly I am growing a muffin top too but I can't blame it on menopause. ::: Sigh :::
I hear you on the dinner thing! I used to be like, "Why do people do stuff like recipe swaps? How exciting can a recipe be?!" and now I'm like, "OMG what new things can I cook?! I am so over making the same things over and over... I'll take any creative outlet I can get!"

    1. YES YES...what I refer to as "Rut" eating/cooking. I actually got excited when I was emailed a recipe exchange a while ago and quickly sent a recipe on the way and added my name. LOL! I did get some keeper recipes too!

    1. Our book club read Still Alice. I really "enjoyed" it (seems like an odd thing to say about someone at the onset of Alzheimer's). I must admit I am struggling a bit getting through this book. Maybe more plausible at this stage in my life???

      Thanks Robbie! D

  11. Wrapping paper is a common theme. That's where I store mine although I'm not sure WHY. I rarely pull it out and use what is left. I always end up buying more. *shaking my head*

    1. Must be because it's so awkward that there's no other place to store it?!?!? I usually end up buying more too! Oish.

  13. Killer dust bunnies, hey? Have they actually struck and killed yet or is that just a theory at this point? ;) That is a great idea for wrapping paper too! I need to get me one of those. How are you enjoying the book?

    1. Haaahaaa...just a theory at this point but I'm not taking any chances and will leave them be. ;P

I used to have rolls of wrapping paper getting in the way all over the place. Mine's not exactly like the one in the pic but it is very handy dandy.

I'm finding the book...interesting yet having a hard time getting through it at the moment. I will definitely finish it though.

      Thanks for stopping by Brandee!

  14. Since I can no longer blame things on being pregnant, I'm looking forward to blaming things on Menopause. ;) And why must they eat dinner every single night? It seems they could take a night off once in a while. Great list!
