Can You Count to a Bajillion???
#Operation IFO

Does anybody else remember the Toyota commercial from the 70's with the tagline "You asked for it, you got it...Toyota!"  I do. Hence our latest video of Operation IFO: The Smoothie Edition; Part 2.

But before we go any further, I went and searched YouTube to see if I could find the Toyota commercial for those of you who might not remember/know it. I came across this from "Forget Paris". Visions of Riley World 60 years into the future flashed before my eyes or maybe it was just Billy Crystal's reaction that I could relate to. Perhaps a little tooooo well.  :D

On to our video. See if you can answer these 3 questions after you finish watching:
  • How many times did R say a variation of “I’ll be whining?”
  • How many times did R put down his glass (hoping to be finished) then pick it up and continue drinking??
  • How many times did R try and make eye contact with me?

Are you ready???  Watch and count...    (PS  Tammy…you will not be disappointed.  *wink*)

As soon as I gave Riley the “one more”…he took one last quick sip and was done!  Oh and his reference to Bonnie Hunt at the very end???  That would be me. Bonnie Hunt plays the mom in Cheaper By the Dozen. She may be blonde and have a dozen children...other than that?? We are the same.  :D

Happy Hump Day!

Sadly he is just tolerating them but...I'm hopeful. :)

    2. That movie. Driving in the car. When the dad just names all of the places they're driving by. That would be my life. If it's not Tommy.. it's Tom. *smh* You asked for it! you got it! Toyota!

  2. I love Billy Crystal movies.

Nice job to both you and Riley. I'm impressed he even drank it. I know he likes to please people, but when is the last time he has refused to actually eat or drink something you have given him? He obviously isn't happy with IFO, but he's eaten everything you've put in front of him so far. (Or are you not showing us the times he doesn't?)

Oh, and I lost count. :)

My favorite part was when he looked down the straw.

And he calls you Bonnie Hunt? Only when he's annoyed with you? Either way, that's hilarious.

    1. That was my favourite part too...had a hard time not laughing when I caught him doing that. :D

Actually he has never flat out refused but then again in the past it may have only been 1 bite to start and for multiple tries. I keep thinking one of these days the camera is going to get a mouthful. Eeep! He has come a long way baby! ;)

I am Bonnie Hunt; G is Steve Martin; J2 is Tom Welling and R is "Mark". It's at any time and yes...we have a script to follow.

  6. I am sorry Di, but I did get a chuckle out of this. You have the heart of a saint. I just knew he would blow bubbles, because that's what we all did (and sometimes still do). It tastes better that way.

    1. I don't recall him ever blowing bubbles in his drink before so this came as quite a surprise...a pleasant and even comical one. :D

  7. Will first of all Billy Crystal doing the silent scream was hilarious. I do that. Love your video of Riley. Funny that he smack the table, like I drank the smoothie now I have to put the glass away too?

    1. The more I watch that clip (and yes I keep watching it)...the funnier it gets for me!!!

Table smacking used to happen a LOT when Riley was little. It was his way of showing his displeasure. It STILL is a way of showing his displeasure but thankfully not quite as often these days. :)

  8. OK, that is very cute. It looks like he kinda likes it so not sure why he's whining ;) I lost count.

    Love Billy Crystal too!

    1. Oh he definitely does not "like" it. Glad it looks that way though. :)

His "other" mom said she counted 8 times in the first 30 seconds. Haha!
